A Short Hiatus for INTO IT
It’s time to be honest about some things. Not just with you, but with myself. In the strange, nebulous way that it applies to podcasts, I’ve tried to keep Into It pretty professional. But the truth, as I’m sure you’ve already figured out, is that I do all of this by myself. Scheduling guests, the technical side of recording, editing, keeping up with social media and the Patreon. It’s all me. And that’s on top of my day job and the various other things I do.
And so inevitably, things sometimes slip through the cracks, or I get off schedule. I try not to let it happen too often, but it can’t always be helped. I find myself slipping behind on things, and I sometimes feel like I’m not keeping my promises to my listeners.
Which brings us to right now. I’m currently in the planning stages of moving to a different city. I’m doing this by myself too, and without the benefits of owning a car. I’m very excited about the move, and feel like I’ll be in a much better place, but it’s also very stressful. And after some attempts at juggling, and then a whole lot of thinking, I’ve decided what I need to do.
Into It is going on hiatus for a few weeks. My plan is to come back in mid-June. That will give me time not just to move, but to get ahead on some things and plan some other things, so that when the show comes back, it’ll feel less like something I’m doing at the very last minute every week.
When Into It returns next month, I hope to have made some plans to help the podcast run much more smoothly. I love making this show, and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon.
