Secret Convergence on Infinite Podcasts is here! Jay Rachel Edidin (Rachel and Miles X-Plain the X-Men), Kieran Shiach (Journey into Misery), and Matt D. Wilson (War Rocket Ajax) are all on the show for a panel discussion about the best and worst of comic book movies.
Note: This was recorded before the Supergirl TV series premiered. So we talk about it, but none of us had seen it. It was also recorded before Jay's public name change.
For Part 3 of SCOIP, tune into SILENCE!

I've toyed for a long time with the idea of supplementing the podcast episodes with written posts, because there's always just so much to say. So when Rachel mentioned the idea for this piece, I knew we had to publish it, because it is wonderful. And then the rest of the conversation bounced around my head for the next few days, and coalesced into the following (which is less a trans reading than a narrative thought experiment that’s rapidly resolving into headcanon, because I love the hell out of what it adds).Read More
Writer, editor, and X-Men X-plainer Jay Edidin is back to talk about the Wachowskis' Speed Racer. The perfect cast, fascinating world-building, mind-blowing mise-en-scène, and the emergence of a cult classic. Plus Pops Racer's history with wrestling (and ninjas), and Speed finding his place within racing and the Racer family.
Writer, editor, and podcaster Rachel Edidin of Rachel and Miles X-Plain the X-Men joins Elle for the nerdiest episode yet. What starts as a discussion of the X-Men expands into a consideration of the Marvel Universe and its complex history and continuity. Jean Grey's new beginning, Franklin Richards' effect on continuity, and the never-ending awfulness of Hank Pym. What playlist would Kitty Pryde make, and what playlist would you make for Kitty Pryde?
